Puchong: A growing town

Puchong has witnessed tremendous development for the past two decades. What is the history of Puchong?
Many local Chinese companies acquired mining land in Puchong from the British after Malaya gained its independence in 1957. In the mid-1980s, the deterioration of the price of tin pushed its workers to rubber and palm oil plantations. Puchong flourished when the Damansara-Puchong Expressway was built in 2002.
