What is the history of Puchong?
Many local Chinese companies acquired mining land in Puchong from the British after Malaya gained its independence in 1957. In the mid-1980s, the deterioration of the price of tin pushed its workers to rubber and palm oil plantations. Puchong flourished when the Damansara-Puchong Expressway was built in 2002.
